Working on an article about Sitly?
Information for the press
Sitly is a platform that connects families with babysitters, nannies and childminders. It was founded in 2009 by Jules van Bruggen, who, as a parent himself saw a need for this service. Sitly has become the largest babysitting website in Finland with over 24000 registered babysitters, nannies and parents.
Sitly was founded in 2009 and has become the fastest growing international platform that connects families with babysitters, nannies and childminders, making flexible and affordable at-home child care possible. More than a million registered families, babysitters, nannies and childminders in 9 different countries are using Sitly today. The objective of Sitly is to allow parents to arrange childcare in flexible way where children are at home in their trusted environment.
What is Sitly?
With Sitly, you can find a babysitter, childminder or family to babysit for in your area. You can easily contact them, plan an interview and make further arrangements. It’s up to you to decide what kind of babysitter or family is best for you, so you can make your own decisions about who to contact.
Does registration mean any kind of commitment?
No. Registration is without obligations, free and without any kind of commitment. You can choose for yourself if you want to agree to an interview with parents, babysitters and/or childminders in your area. Arranging a babysitter or family is completely up to you.
How does the Sitly app work?
Sitly was founded by Jules van Bruggen after he discovered how hard it was to find reliable child care for his newborn son. “We were experiencing a lot of difficulty finding the right care. It took us a year before we found a daycare that still had a spot left, and in the meantime we were in desperate need of babysitters or nannies.”Read Sitly's story
